| I had a horrible experience with a previous flatmate (who i had to get an AVO out on) so when I found a gay couple from America, one of whom went to my uni, and were very friendly, I was rapt. I went out of my way to make these guys feel welcome and even helped them with uni work. I only charged them half the rent even though there was two of them, and tried to make life as easy as possible because we all got on so well. After about 10 months, wi

I moved in with a 2 guys when i first left home. at first everything was fine and we got along. so much so that even when a girlfriend of one of the guys moved in it was still all sweet. started when i moved to a new place with the couple. bad move. they owned everything and they started to hold this over me constantly. they barely worked and stayed at home with heaters or fans and stereo going all the time, and y

| where do you start, apart from this man being im sure the worlds worst human. him stealing my brand new mobile phone then sending me texts laughing about how it would cost me money. kicking me in the back when i told him he had to be out by the end of the week. kicking my television when i said he had to be out now because of the violence. but the cherry on the top of the cake was when he left a candle burning against the wall as he left. wi

| I moved into a shared house early last year with a few other people, and everything was fine until we realised one housemate didn't know how to operate a bar of soap. Or a washing machine. Or a bath. Or a bottle of disinfectant. Or a ... you get the idea.
We all thought "Old Stinky" was a little more Forrest Gump than Albert Einstein, so we explained why it wasn't acceptable to only have a bath once a week, or why you had to actually CLEAN the

| My old roomate turned out to be a complete nutter, when he moved in he seemed ok for about 2 days. Before he mentioned he was a smoker & about his 4 year old daughter (whom he never supervised properly and got s*@t everywhere) who visits every second weekend for the whole weekend. This would all be fair enough if he had bothered to mention this when we had asked before he moved in. But the real bealbreaker was this guys drinking habits. Often whe

| I had a flat mate move out with no notice and was in a hurry to get basically anyone in to fill his place. So I got this jason (bloody jason) guy in, not knowing what was to follow.
He knew absolutely everything about everything, never wrong. Always got excuses why he couldn't pay rent on time, and felt it okay to tell me he will fix me up on a certain date. I remember one week having to ask him 3 times for the rent, and when I finally got a r

| When I was 19 and my sister was 17 we moved out together and it was the worst mistake of my life.
We moved into a unit and the problems started straight away. I consider myself to be fairly easygoing and I told her that the only rule I had was that she had to pick up after herself. I didn't care how messy her room was, as long as her mess was contained to her room. She didn't listen. She used the loungeroom floor like her bedroom. She would ge
