I moved into a sharehouse near my university that was owned by a really shy Accounting major who was an international student from Beijing. He seemed fine and helped me move my clothes and shoes into my new room. Things seemed very normal. My boyfriend bought me a fruit juicer as a house warming gift. He dropped it off to the apartment. Helped me set it up. He left shortly afterwards. My flatmate said he wanted to have a 'chat'. We sat down in unison and I noticed his face dropping; 'I wanted a flatmate to move in who was single. I thought you were single, and that once we had spent some time together, that we could have a romantic relationship'. So he didn't really want a housemate, he wanted some kind of… live in lover?? So darn awkward. Was he some kind of sexual predator disguised as this nice nerdy accounting student?? I moved out two days later.
